At West End Dental we are a small team of dedicated staff. We are proud of our preventative dentistry approach. We encourage people of all ages to regularly attend. We have a kids club to encourage the younger generation that dental health is important. Seeing the same dentist on every visit means you can gain that professional one to one bond with your dental team. Its important to know that we are here for your oral wellbeing and we are also dedicated to making your visit a pleasant one.

Dr Robert A Elliott BDS

Originally from Newcastle upon Tyne, Robert studied dentistry at Sheffield University. He qualified as a dentist in 1991. Since his qualification, he has been a clinical director for a dental group and he has owned his own NHS practice in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. In 2005 he moved back north to his roots where he bought West End Dental in Wolsingham and a hill farm near Hexham. West End Dental has been operating now for 10 years. When Robert is not in surgery, most of his time is spent in the show ring with his ponies or on the farm with his animals.

Deborah Elliott - Practice Manager/Nurse

Deborah first worked in dentistry in 1997 as a receptionist in North Yorks. Deborah has also worked as a recovery nurse for dental general aneasthetic clinic.From there Deborah moved to Doncaster and over the next year or two became a team leader and then onto a Practice Manager. In 2000 Deborah qualified as a dental nurse. Deborah has successfully acheived level 3 in business management and qualified to complete risk assessments.Deborah met Robert in 1999 and in 2001 they tied the knot. They are now a husband and wife team. Deborah has been a practice manager now for 17 years mainly for big group practices. Although the last few years Deborah has stopped nursing due to managing their farm and practice but now she is coming back into nursing.

Joanne Metcalfe- Dental Receptonist

Joanne has been with the practice since 2005. Joanne is very experienced in her role and is fully trained in her position. Joanne is NVQ qualified in Health and Social Care.
